We are looking for a Part-Time Shift Manager to oversee restaurant operations on assigned shifts, including opening and closing the restaurant. This position is ideal for individuals with restaurant management experience who are looking to rapidly grow into handling upper-level management responsibilities. Shift Manager responsibilities include delegating tasks, addressing guest's inquiries and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Organizational efficiency and team management skills are vital to this position. Ultimately, you will be critical in the continued growth and success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
- Maintain adequate supply of prepped products
- Manage orders
- Communicate to, and work directly with ownership to resolve any restaurant issues
- Provide mentor-ship and guidance to team members
- Track daily cash and product usage
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift
- Coordinate with suppliers as they deliver product, ensuring all products are accounted for and stored in compliance
- Beyond ensuring guest satisfaction, you will be our greatest marketer with unmatched customer service
- Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
- Communicate pending tasks with other members of management
- Report maintenance and training needs
Skills
- Proven experience as a Shift Manager or relevant leadership role in a restaurant
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations (E.g. POS functions and payments)
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
- Basic knowledge of cash-flow management
- A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team management abilities
