Job Summary

You will manage reservations, coordinate seating, and provide outstanding guest services to create a warm, organized, and memorable atmosphere for all visitors.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a positive attitude and guide them to their tables efficiently
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts using POS systems like spot on.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth table turnover and guest flow
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times accurately to guests
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns or special requests courteously and promptly
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area
- uphold menu acknowledgment.
- Service flow support- coordinate with servers, bartenders, and shift leads, and back of the house, to maintain smooth pacing and balanced sections, to make sure the kitchen isn't overwhelmed and the servers.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal skills and active listening abilities
- Proficiency in restaurant reservation management and familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as spot on
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
- Basic math skills for managing wait lists, reservations, and billing procedures
- Knowledge of hospitality principles, guest services, and food safety practices
- Ability to remain energetic, approachable, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with phone communication and maintaining proper phone etiquette
