Job Description
Full-Time · Part-Time · Per Diem
Healthcare Science Academy (HSA) and our partner program Meta Polytechnic are seeking dedicated, experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who are passionate about teaching and ready to help train the next generation of nurses. We are hiring CNA Instructors for our Certified Nursing Assistant program and LVN Instructors for our Vocational Nursing program, with full-time, part-time, and per diem positions available. The ideal candidates will bring a strong clinical background along with a desire to teach, mentor, and prepare students for certification, licensure, and a successful start in the healthcare workforce.
CNA INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver classroom instruction and skills lab training in accordance with the CNA curriculum.
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations in skilled nursing facilities or other approved clinical sites.
- Demonstrate and instruct students on nursing assistant skills, including vital signs, ADLs, infection control, and patient safety procedures.
- Evaluate student performance through skills checklists, written exams, and clinical documentation review.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, grading, and clinical hour records in compliance with CDPH/Title 22 requirements.
LVN INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver classroom instruction and skills lab training in accordance with the vocational nursing curriculum.
- Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations in approved healthcare facilities.
- Instruct students on advanced nursing concepts, including pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and patient care planning.
- Evaluate student performance through skills checklists, written exams, and clinical competency assessments.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, grading, and clinical hour records in compliance with BVNPT requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a positive and disciplined learning environment.
- Collaborate with program administration on curriculum updates and program improvement.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to ongoing program development.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Active RN or LVN license in California.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (RN or LVN).
- At least one (1) of those years must be providing direct care to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice, or other long-term care setting.
- Prior teaching or clinical precepting experience preferred.

- Full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules available for both the CNA and LVN programs
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
