The Role
The Store Supervisor keeps daily operations running to standard across every shift and every station. Working the tea bar and register alongside the team for most of the shift, the position is accountable for labour deployment, service flow across all stations, and the service standards that support sales and guest satisfaction on the floor. The role calls for someone proactive and communicative — the person who sees the problem first and speaks up. Where a Lead runs a station, the Supervisor runs the shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work the tea bar and register as a Tearista for most of your shift
- Run the shift: assign stations, manage breaks, and keep service moving
- Build the weekly schedule and adjust daily staffing to cover absences and peak periods
- Open and close the store, including closing cash-out and shift reports
- Coordinate across all stations — tea bar, kitchen, and bakery — to keep orders moving during peak periods
- Monitor stock levels across all stations during your shift and coordinate replenishment with each Lead
- Deliver training to new team members following the store training plan
- Handle guest escalations the team cannot resolve
- Support the Store Manager with reporting, systems setup, and administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized assigned station and follow all food safety guidelines
- Complete food safety logs and shift documentation
Requirements
- MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY
- 2+ years of food service experience; prior lead or supervisor experience preferred
- Certified Food Manager (CFM) certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire — we cover the cost
- A proactive communicator — you raise issues early and keep the team and the Store Manager informed
- Calm under pressure and comfortable giving direction
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Available for both opening and closing shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
