We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of the vehicles, trailers and heavy equipment in our fleet. Reporting to the Vice President and President, your role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and executing repairs using your core skills in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge. Along with being able to teach, direct, and organize several Mechanic Helpers daily, as well as recording in detail the work performed.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license as the position may require picking up parts and traveling to trucks and equipment that need repairs in the field. Applicants must also be willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions at times. Periodically, overtime or weekend work may be offered/required. Salary DOE.
Qualifications
Proficient in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools
Skilled in working with transmissions, air brakes, and alignment
Familiarity with hydraulics and suspension systems
Experience in heavy equipment operation, including excavators and forklifts
Customer service skills and service technician experience
Ability to perform welding, soldering, and heavy lifting tasks
Requirements
Driver’s license.
Physical labor and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Requires the use of PPE, safety glasses, steel toe boots and gloves.
The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
