American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Lexington, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and certifications including ACLS and NRP for a high-risk OB unit.

Located in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit that includes 17 private suites, 5 triage/PACU beds, 4 ORs, a 3-bed OB ED, and a specialized antepartum unit for high-risk and postpartum care

Cares for high-risk patients before, during, and after childbirth

13-week contract with 36 hours per week

Night shift: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or a compact state currently in hand

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation

Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)

Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities

Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy within scope of practice

Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing

Delegates and oversees tasks performed by other care team members as part of an inter-professional team approach
