Director of Worship & Arts (PT - 16 Hours)

Job Description: To recruit and lead a team of vocalists, musicians, and technicians to create an inviting, dynamic, and reverent musical environment where people both encounter God and worship Him in song.
We strive to provide Sunday services where worshipers are:
- Led to wholeheartedly worship God for the breadth of His character.
- Moved to express their worship in celebration, adoration, confession, thanksgiving, generosity, humility, and surrender.
- Changed by God’s presence to align their hearts and minds with their identity in Christ.
- Guided to encounter God in new ways through the thoughtful use of Scripture, prayer, ministry of word, liturgy, and silent reflection.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build a team of musicians, vocalists, and technicians.
- Lead weekly band rehearsal to prepare the team for Sunday morning worship.
- Recruit, audition, onboard, and equip new team members.
- Provide spiritual care and support for team members.
- Work with the location pastor to plan worship services where people encounter God in a meaningful and creative way.
- Plan song selection, upload slides, manage lighting, and schedule the worship team for each Sunday.
- Help cultivate a hospitable Sunday morning environment where guests are welcomed and further connected into the life of the congregation.
- Lead worship-in-song for other occasional gatherings (i.e., Christmas Eve, Good Friday).
- Participate in Staff/Planning Meetings with the location pastor.
- Commit to membership and engage in the life of the congregation.

Education & Experience:
- Competency leading worship with guitar and/or keyboard (required).
- Basic knowledge about sound, lighting, slides, and video (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Experience building and leading volunteer teams (preferred).
Worship Style:
Our worship style can be described as a blend of modern/contemporary music and classic hymns, with some more traditional liturgical elements incorporated in the services as well.
Programs We Use:
Planning Center (scheduling and chord charts), ProPresenter (slides).
Accountability and Supervision:
This position is accountable to the Grace GR Location Pastor.
