CDJR & Used Car Internet Salesperson Job Description
Position Title: Internet Salesperson – CDJR & Used VehiclesDepartment: SalesReports To: Internet Sales Manager / General Sales Manager
Position Summary
The Internet Salesperson is responsible for responding to all incoming internet leads, phone calls, text messages, and digital inquiries for new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram vehicles and pre-owned inventory. This position focuses on converting online shoppers into dealership appointments, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and assisting customers through the vehicle purchase process from initial inquiry through delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Management
- Respond to all internet leads, phone calls, emails, text messages, and chat inquiries promptly.
- Maintain required response times established by dealership management.
- Contact customers through multiple communication channels including phone, email, text, and video.
- Schedule and confirm showroom appointments.
- Follow up consistently on unsold prospects using the dealership CRM.
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity notes.
Sales Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting vehicles that meet their needs and budget.
- Demonstrate features and benefits of new CDJR and pre-owned vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle walkarounds, test drives, and product presentations.
- Present pricing, trade values, financing options, and payment alternatives.
- Work closely with management to structure deals and secure vehicle sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales, appointment, and closing goals.
Customer Experience
- Provide professional, courteous, and timely communication.
- Ensure customers receive a seamless buying experience from inquiry to delivery.
- Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support dealership reputation by generating positive online reviews and survey results.
Inventory & Product Knowledge
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram products.
- Stay informed on manufacturer incentives, rebates, and special programs.
- Develop expertise in the dealership’s pre-owned inventory.
- Create and share vehicle videos, photos, and personalized presentations for customers.
CRM & Administrative Responsibilities
- Utilize CRM systems such as Reynolds, Eleads, VinSolutions, or equivalent.
- Maintain accurate lead status, appointment tracking, and follow-up activities.
- Complete all required documentation and compliance training.
- Track personal sales performance and customer follow-up metrics.

Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong phone, email, text, and communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with customers.

- Comfortable using CRM systems and dealership technology.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
