MedOp Solutions is seeking experienced Progressive Care Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment in the Advanced Heart Care Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Joint Commission Certified Advanced Heart Failure program specializes in caring for high-acuity cardiac patients requiring advanced monitoring, specialized therapies, and expert nursing care.
The ideal candidate has strong Progressive Care, Cardiac Step-Down, or Telemetry experience and is comfortable caring for medically complex cardiovascular patients in a fast-paced environment.

- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 (days and nights)
- Eight travel positions available
- Night shift assignment
- Advanced Heart Failure
- Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
- STEMI
- Post-Cardiac Catheterization patients
- Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Pacemaker and Defibrillator placement
- Pre-surgical cardiac patients (VAD, Heart Transplant, CABG)
- Pulmonary Hypertension
- Patients requiring continuous cardiac drips
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for progressive cardiac patients
- Perform ongoing cardiovascular assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, cardiac drips, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Care for patients before and after advanced cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care while supporting quality outcomes
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Recent Progressive Care (PCU), Cardiac Step-Down, Telemetry, or Cardiovascular nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for high-acuity cardiac patients strongly preferred
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac assessment skills
- Experience managing cardiac drips preferred
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced cardiac care environment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
- Cardiac infusion therapy equipment
- Department-specific orientation provided prior to independent assignment
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
- Weekend rotation based on department needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Holiday coverage as scheduled by the department
