Our company is a leading provider of high-quality camper van conversions and custom RV's, and we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shop Supervisor to lead our workshop team and oversee daily operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering exceptional service quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate work schedules and assign tasks to team members based on skill levels and workload demands
- Monitor the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to ensure proper handling and safety compliance
- Conduct quality inspections on completed vehicle repair and construction work to meet company standards
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits
- Assist technicians with technical issues requiring knowledge and the use of diagnostic tools such as multi meters
- Manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies to prevent delays in service delivery
- Read and interpret plans, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate measurements and precise construction.
Experience
- Proven experience in finish carpentry, electrical and plumbing
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a workshop, construction or service center setting preferred
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to carpentry, electrical and plumbing operations
- Ability to train and mentor team members on technical skills and best practices
