Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication between front and back of house
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining proper food handling and safety standards at all times
- Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables promptly, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic meal assembly or garnishing
- Support beverage preparation by refilling drinks, assisting bartenders or baristas as required, and ensuring guests’ hydration needs are met
- Maintain cleanliness through dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and adhering to food safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as host/hostess, busser, or food runner is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for order taking, cash handling, and POS transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly in a busy environment, and lift moderate loads when necessary
- Experience with restaurant technology systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Familiarity with beverage preparation or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory
