Position Summary:
The MG Coordinator provides employment-focused case management and maintenance assistance to eligible clients working toward economic self-sufficiency.
The Coordinator completes eligibility and enrollment activities, develops and monitors Self-Sufficiency Plans and household budgets, coordinates employment services, documents financial support and match, and maintains accurate case files and database records throughout the MG service period. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Screen prospective clients for immigration, enrollment-window, employability, household, public-cash-assistance, and other MG eligibility requirements.
● Complete the pre-enrollment analysis, explain program expectations and alternatives, obtain required agreements, and enter accurate enrollment data.
● Assess household strengths, employment history, education, English ability, health, childcare, transportation, housing, and other barriers to self-sufficiency.
● Develop and update the MG Self-Sufficiency Plan and required household budgets with clear employment, income, service, and client-responsibility goals.
● Provide or coordinate in-house employment services, including job readiness, resumes, applications, employer referrals, interviews, placement, transportation planning, retention follow-up, and job upgrades.
● Reinforce timely acceptance and retention of appropriate employment while supporting clients in balancing English learning, childcare, health, and family responsibilities.
● Provide or coordinate maintenance assistance, including cash allowances, rent, utilities, food, transportation, work clothing, tools, licensing, and other approved supports.
● Complete required home visits for eligible non-PIR cases and document housing arrangements when required.
● Refer clients to English language training, healthcare, childcare, transportation, financial literacy, recertification, social adjustment, and other required services; follow up on participation and outcomes.
● Track employment details, pay stubs, hours, wages, health benefits, household income, expenses, and self-sufficiency status in the case file and MG database.
● Document donated goods, volunteer services, and other allowable match contributions using required forms and supporting records.
● Maintain complete, confidential, and timely MG case files, including eligibility, agreements, plans, budgets, assistance, referrals, employment, match, case notes, and closure records.
Working Conditions
Work occurs in the office, client homes, employer sites, workforce programs, and community locations. Local travel and occasional evening or weekend work may be required for interviews, employer events, or client availability.
