Pediatric Private-Duty Nurse — Full-Time Position: Pediatric Private-Duty Nurse (RN/LVN) Schedule: Monday–Thursday, full-time Weekends: No weekends Location: Austin, TX Patient: Infant with complex medical needs About the Position We are looking for a dependable, compassionate pediatric nurse to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a medically complex infant in the home. The selected nurse will need to become an employee/provider through the home health agency our family is already established with. The agency will handle the appropriate hiring, credentialing, and employment requirements. Responsibilities - Provide attentive, compassionate one-on-one nursing care in the home - Administer medications and treatments as ordered - Provide G-tube feedings and G-tube care - Monitor vital signs, intake/output, hydration, and overall condition - Monitor for changes in urinary output or other signs of illness - Assist with established medical equipment and care routines - Follow physician orders and the individualized nursing care plan - Maintain accurate nursing documentation - Communicate with parents, physicians, therapists, and the home health agency - Provide age-appropriate interaction, comfort, and stimulation - Recognize changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: - Experienced with pediatric or medically complex patients - Comfortable with G-tube care and feedings - Dependable, attentive, and safety-focused - Gentle and patient with infants - Comfortable working closely with parents and following an established care plan - A strong communicator who will ask questions when unsure - Respectful of the family's home, routines, and parenting preferences - Someone who genuinely enjoys caring for children and building a trusting relationship with the family Important This is a skilled nursing position, not a babysitting or custodial-care position. The nurse will be expected to actively monitor the child's condition, provide appropriate nursing care, and communicate any concerns promptly. The family is very involved in the child's care and values consistency, communication, teamwork, and compassionate care. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, full-time. No weekends required.
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
