About Us
Gulf Biomechanical Laboratory has proudly served San Antonio and South Texas communities for over 30 years, providing prosthetic and orthotic care with in-house fabrication and a family-owned, patient-first approach. We're looking for a warm, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and referring physicians.
What You'll Do
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk check-in/check-out
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage daily calendars
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information at check-in
- Conduct patient follow-up calls (post-delivery, satisfaction check-ins, appointment reminders)
- Maintain accurate records in our patient management/CRM system
- Coordinate with practitioners and back-office staff to keep patient flow smooth
- Handle incoming calls, route inquiries, and respond to patient questions professionally
- Support office organization using Outlook (calendar, email) and Excel (tracking, reporting)
- Assist with intake paperwork, consent forms, and demographic updates
What We're Looking For
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Most of our patients are most comfortable communicating in one or both languages
- Experience with CRM or patient management software (EMR/EHR experience a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong phone etiquette and comfort handling a high call volume
- Experience with patient intake and follow-up processes (healthcare setting preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A friendly, patient-centered attitude, you'll often be someone's first impression of Gulf Prosthetics
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- HIPAA awareness/experience handling sensitive patient information
