About the Role
CAPS operates four locations, including a state-of-the-art Surgery Center! We are seeking a Laundry Attendant based at our Gahanna location, responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, and adequately stocked supply of linens, towels, and garments used throughout the practice. This role ensures that clinical and treatment spaces always have the linens they need to operate smoothly, in line with our practice's cleanliness and infection-control standards.
What You'll Do
- Collect soiled linens, towels, robes, and garments from treatment rooms and designated collection areas.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens according to established procedures and sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper use of laundry equipment, detergents, and sanitizing agents; follow all safety guidelines for handling soiled materials.
- Maintain adequate par levels of clean linens and supplies in treatment rooms and storage areas; restock as needed throughout the day.
- Inspect linens for damage or wear and remove/report items that need to be replaced.
- Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate team member promptly.
- Follow all infection-control and OSHA-related guidelines when handling soiled or contaminated linens.
- Assist with light inventory or supply tasks as needed and directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior laundry, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistent quality and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lift and carry loads of linens (up to approximately 25–30 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical/medical environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
