Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk Part-Time with a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on accounting experience. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, is comfortable managing month-end close activities, and possesses strong Excel skills. Experience with EzyVet is a plus.
This role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping functions
- Record and post customer invoices and cash receipts accurately and timely
- Review and post vendor bills; process payments in accordance with company procedures
- Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) aging and follow-up on outstanding items as needed
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the month-end close process for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including account reconciliations
- Perform credit card reconciliations and investigate/resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and file 1099 forms in accordance with IRS requirements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and established accounting procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
- Strong experience with month-end close processes
- Proven experience performing credit card and other account reconciliations
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with 1099 preparation and filing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EzyVet
- Experience working in a veterinary, healthcare, or multi-location environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
