Schedule: Early mornings, approx. 6:00 AM–4:00/5:00 PM (facility operates 24/7; occasional off-shift support required)
A market-leading, third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy producer is hiring an Operations Manager to lead daily production operations at its Sapulpa, OK facility. This site recently added a second furnace and is in a period of rapid growth, making this a critical, high-priority hire. You'll act as the plant's right-hand operations leader, driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while developing a team of supervisors and frontline employees.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a hot, dirty, industrial foundry environment with furnaces and large mobile equipment — not a climate-controlled facility. We're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career and grow into larger operations or plant leadership roles.
- Drive and reinforce a Safety First culture across the facility

Lead daily production operations, directing 4–6 Supervisors and approximately 35–38 indirect reports

Develop and mentor Supervisors and Team Leaders to strengthen leadership bench strength

Establish, plan, and direct production schedules and operational priorities

Lead Continuous Improvement and Change Management initiatives across the plant

Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to meet/exceed KPIs (Safety, Productivity, Yield, On-Time Delivery, Cost Reduction, Operational Efficiency)

Build and execute year-over-year improvement plans for each area of responsibility

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards

Balance strong process discipline with employee-centric leadership and accountability

Partner closely with Maintenance, Safety, Engineering, and Production teams

Report directly to the Plant Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 5 years of manufacturing operations experience

Minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience

Heavy industrial manufacturing background strongly preferred (aluminum, steel, foundry, metals, recycling, cement, plastics, chemical processing, mining/aggregates)

Demonstrated, measurable success improving KPIs such as safety, productivity, yield, cost, OEE, or on-time delivery — not just Lean/CI knowledge

Strong track record of employee development, coaching, and accountability

Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement tools (preferred)

Change Management experience (preferred)

Experience with large mobile equipment a plus
