Join our vibrant café and bar team as a dynamic and enthusiastic Line Cook! In this role, you will take ownership of the details that deliver exceptional meals and customer service to our guests. Focusing on quality, consistency and cleanliness, you’ll play a key role in providing memorable experiences for our patrons that keep them coming back. Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work some weekdays, weekends, and evening/night shifts.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods seamlessly.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (hospitality or café/bar environment a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
As a Line Cook you will:
- Prioritize, prepare, cook, and assemble all menu items according to standard operating procedures
- Set-up, organize and clean the kitchen and back of house facilities to ensure proper operations
- Prep ingredients according to recipe and standard operating procedures
- Complete opening, shift change and closing procedures thoroughly with attention to detail
- Label and store all food, food prep, dry goods, and paper goods appropriately
- Work with the Front of House to ensure timeliness and satisfaction of all food service
- Account for daily inventory of prepped ingredients, pre-prepped menu items, and back storage to assist with proper organization for team members
- Collaborate with team members on prep needs and par levels for shift planning
- Learn and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook, training materials, standard operating procedures, and recipes guidelines
- Contribute to an environment where open communication flourishes, feedback is valued, contributions matter, and guests/team members are respected
- Keep the restaurant clean, organized, and guest ready
- Comply with health code standards and cleanliness in accordance with Montgomery County’s Department of Health
- Ensure proper functionality and maintenance of all equipment
- Arrive on time to work with a positive attitude
- Other duties as assigned
