Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead commercial construction crews. Responsibilities include: quality control, safety, managing daily operations, adherence to schedule, etc. Work includes: framing, doors, cabinets, specialties, etc. Local work location.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and manage the performance of the construction crew.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide construction efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on-site.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using construction management software including Bluebeam for project documentation.
- Excellent skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools such as Primavera or Prolog is preferred.
