Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Process cash transactions accurately and handle credit card payments with precision using POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the guest experience
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills during busy service hours
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong culinary background with food industry knowledge including food safety and food handling procedures
- Proven ability in beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Effective sales techniques including upselling and suggestive selling to maximize revenue opportunities
- Ability to process sales transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments preferred for delivering upscale service standards
- Excellent communication skills paired with basic math proficiency for order accuracy and billing
- Knowledge of openTable reservations system is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
