Service Engineer
Location: Smyrna, GA (On-site) With travel
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 + approx 1 month's salary as a yearly bonus + lots of overtime paid for while traveling (total compensation can exceed $125K)

We are seeking a skilled and self-directed Field Mechanical or Electrical Service Engineer with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering to join a growing team supporting advanced injection stretch blow molding (ISBM) machinery. This role is field-based and requires regular travel to customer sites across the U.S. to provide hands-on service, technical support, and commissioning.
This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and working directly with manufacturing operations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical or Electrical Service Engineer will works on-site to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment including service injection stretch blow molding (ISBM) machinery at customer sites.
- Frequently travel to customer sites
- Diagnose mechanical failures in machines or systems.
- Perform on-site repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with engineers or manufacturers for complex issues
- Provide both onsite and remote technical support for customers and internal teams.
- Perform machine commissioning, calibration, mold trials, and system optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field (like Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Design). OR hands-on experience with ISBM blow mold machines in the plastics industry.
- College graduates with Electrical engineer degrees are encouraged to apply
- Mechanical knowledge: Understanding of machines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC systems, or industrial equipment depending on the industry.
- Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems quickly.
- Use of tools and instruments: Hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges).
- Reading technical documents: Blueprints, schematics, manuals, and CAD drawings.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- After training 3-5 months must be willing to travel approximately 50-60% of the time, primarily via air, Monday through Thursday. All travel is expensed and paid for including time traveling
