The Tera Miranda Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards using machine and manual cleaning methods. The Dishwasher is additionally responsible for maintaining clean work areas.
Essential Functions
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them into racks to send through the dish machine.
- Ensure that all food debris is removed from dishes prior to organizing and stacking as clean.
- Wash all pots, pans and trays by hand in a three-compartment sink using proper form.
- Remove all trash from various receptacles around the kitchen and bring to the trash compactor outside of the building.
- Sweep all debris from the floors and mop the floor with soap, wash water or bleach water.
- Set up and break down the dishwashing area following the machine’s assembly directions.
- Change empty chemical pails as needed.
- Represent Tera Miranda in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred.
- Ability to read and understand labels on chemicals.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
- Knowledge of Health Department sanitation regulations.
- Food Handlers Certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
