Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Jonas POS systems
- Assist with food preparation tasks to support kitchen staff and ensure timely service
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Support food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly and efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices enhances your ability to support the team
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order processing
- Experience with food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures in a restaurant or café setting is advantageous
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
