Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Responsibilities:
- The Trauma Registrar is responsible for greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Registers patients for inpatient, outpatient, or emergency room services and obtains accurate demographic and insurance information.

Copies insurance cards as required.

Prepares ID bracelets and distributes them with admission forms.

Provides patients with information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and Advance Care Directives.

Obtains appropriate signatures and copies and/or scans all identification and healthcare coverage presented.
- Documents the reasons if this information is not attainable.

Communicates all information and financial responsibility to the patient/guarantor.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Job Requirements:
-
1+ year working in medical/and or medical insurance areas.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
