Job Summary
The student lab technician is responsible for assisting faculty in preparing for laboratory activities and maintaining the biology and chemistry prep areas.
Education/Qualifications
- Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
- Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
- Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The student laboratory technician is someone who is enrolled in or has completed at least two science courses at Sheridan College and is proficient in algebra.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Appropriate safety training and protective equipment will be provided. The lab technician will be responsible for working with potentially hazardous biological and chemical materials. Occasionally lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds) is a requirement.
