Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest relations that set the tone for their visit
- Ensure guests find a seat, present menus, and answer initial questions about the menu or specials
- Take and relay guest orders accurately, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
- Ensure the food you are serving is what the customer ordered, attention to detail is key in this fast paced environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of waitress station and dining area to uphold food safety standards and a welcoming ambiance
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, including to go orders, and general guest questions following proper phone etiquette
Experience
- Previous experience as a waitress or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse guests and team members
- Basic math skills, guest counts, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest satisfaction and safety
