American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, AHA-certified credentials, and a minimum 50-mile radius from the facility.

Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting

Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required

Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Minimum of 1 year of L&D nursing experience required; 2 years preferred

Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting preferred

Travel nursing experience preferred (2 years)

Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred

Proficiency in nursing theory, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Provides nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients with varying levels of complexity under general supervision

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, IV management, fetal monitoring, and coordination with physicians and support staff

Interacts with patients and families regarding care plans, discharge instructions, and hospital procedures

Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks)
