Duties
- Supervise dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interaction and preventing aggressive behavior
- Handle dogs gently and confidently, using proper animal restraint techniques when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by cleaning kennels, play areas, and grooming stations
- Provide pet care services such as feeding, administering medications, or basic grooming as needed
- Observe dogs for signs of stress or illness
- Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ activities and address any questions or concerns
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work preferred but not required; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is highly advantageous
- Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles adds valuable insight into animal health needs
- Experience in pet grooming or pet care enhances ability to provide comprehensive care services
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger dogs
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods and animal handling best practices ensures safety for both pets and staff
Pay: From $17.13 per hour
