Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing/fabrication team in Swansea, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on steel components, reading blueprints, fabricating parts, and ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail and craftsmanship. Duties commonly include operating MIG welding equipment, interpreting drawings, preparing materials, and inspecting completed welds.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel and metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment.
- Measure, cut, fit, align, and tack materials prior to welding.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Grind, clean, and finish welded parts as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance issues.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and measuring tools.
- Ability to use grinders, hand tools, and basic fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
