Job Title: Operation/Plant Supervisor
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and have experience in food manufacturing, warehouse operations, inventory control, purchasing, and team supervision. Forklift experience or certification is also important.
Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and production support operations to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products while supporting manufacturing activities. This role supervises day-to-day operations, coordinates inventory and procurement activities, promotes a safe work environment, and helps ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials and finished goods to support food manufacturing operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Assist with purchasing materials and supplies as needed.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Supervise and support warehouse personnel, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Operate forklifts and ensure safe material handling practices are followed.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and other departments to support operational needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory control, and workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic inventory systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management and inventory control.
- Procurement or purchasing experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
