We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident in managing mortgage loan files from application through closing.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow up on conditions, and experience working with loan officers, borrowers, lenders, underwriters, escrow, and title teams. The right person should be comfortable managing multiple files, reviewing documentation, and keeping the loan process moving smoothly and accurately.
Responsibilities.
- Review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Collect and organize income, asset, credit, employment, and property-related documents
- Prepare loan files for submission to lenders and underwriting
- Track loan conditions and follow up on missing or updated items
- Communicate with loan officers, borrowers, lenders, underwriters, escrow, and title companies
- Monitor loan progress from application through closing
- Maintain accurate records and update loan file status as needed
- Help ensure files are processed efficiently and in compliance with company and lender requirements
Requirements
- DRE or NMLS license
- Previous mortgage processing experience required
- Strong understanding of the mortgage loan process from application to closing
- Experience reviewing borrower documents, disclosures, conditions, and lender requirements
- Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with loan officers, borrowers, lenders, escrow, title, and underwriting teams
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using mortgage loan origination systems
- Familiarity with conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, or brokered loan files
- Experience working with third-party processing, mortgage brokerage, or lending teams
