Overview
Odd Duck Diner is a new restaurant in Claremont New Hampshire and we are hiring for back of house positions! We need two more full time employees to round out our kitchen: one line cook (starting pay $20-$24/hr based on experience) and one dishwasher (starting pay $18/hr). The pay is not static and we offer an initial $1/hr raise after the first 60 days and yearly raises after (the lowest raise would be the rate of inflation, but we know how important it is to pay the people we want to keep)
About us:
Odd duck diner is a scratch kitchen with an emphasis on our fresh baked breads, donuts, and approachable (but unique) diner food. Our operating hours are Friday-Tuesday 7AM-2PM, closed on Wednesday and Thursday (so, both your days off will be together). Shifts for both positions will run from 6:30AM-2:30PM, so there will still be time left in the day when you get out.
You will have the opportunity to learn to make things from scratch that you probably haven't yet, such as bacon, sausage, American cheese and much more. We will run daily specials, so there will be ample opportunity to flex your creative muscle if you so choose. Our Chef/Owner is very receptive to feedback and ideas, and having worked in the industry for 20 years is fairly flexible with time off/ scheduling, we know the struggle.
