Position Summary:
The Front Desk Administrator serves as the first point of contact by professionally greeting visitors and/or callers; providing information, direction and guidance, as appropriate and offers administrative support to the Township Departments ensuring efficient business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and route incoming calls and maintain phone log
Respond to departmental inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Retrieve, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
Perform clerical duties such as typing general correspondence, filing, data entry, scanning and photocopying
Manage conference room schedules
Respond to general public inquires through email, telephone or in-person
Maintain stock of office supplies and coordinate maintenance on office equipment as needed

Physical Requirements
The position is largely a sedentary role; however, some tasks and responsibilities might require the physical requirements as stated below.
- Sitting, standing, and walking: Regularly required to sit at a desk, stand for phone calls or visitor interactions, and walk short distances within the office or to deliver/pick up materials.
- Lifting and carrying: Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds (e.g., packages, supplies, equipment).
- Repetitive motion: Frequent use of hands, fingers, and wrists for keyboarding, phone handling, and data entry.
- Vision: Close vision for computer work, reading, and transcription; distance vision for monitoring screens; color vision and depth perception for certain tasks.
- Hearing: Ability to hear in person and over the phone.
- Communication: Talking and hearing for phone calls, meetings, and visitor interactions.
- Mobility: Ability to reach with hands and arms, and to stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch for mailroom or equipment tasks.
Education, Experience and Licensing
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years experience working in an office environment
Prior customer service experience preferred
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
