Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery of meals
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while providing genuine recommendations based on guest preferences
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support seamless restaurant operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems like OpenTable or POS terminals, ensuring proper cash handling and math accuracy
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with casual dining
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Culinary experience or background in food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving, upselling, and cleaning duties
- Alcohol Training Certification
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; background in hospitality or food service is highly valued
