SUMMARY:
Provide cleaning services to public spaces to ensure the highest level of cleanliness befitting a four-diamond hotel. Anticipate guest’s needs and respond with a sense of urgency. Enthusiastically and professionally engage with guests and teammates. Complete assignment in a timely manner with an elevated level of accuracy. Comply with standard operating procedure and management direction.
- Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, and service public spaces daily in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Stock cart with public space supplies at beginning and end of shift.
- Engage all guests with a warm friendly greeting.
- Ensure the public space linen hand towels are stocked and stacked properly. Remove all dirty towels and bring them to the laundry.
- Clean and sanitize all public restrooms as well as employee restrooms.
- Remove and dispose of all waste in the basket to ensure the inside and outside is clean.
- Move and dust, furnishings, lamps, wash windows and doors, vacuum, sweep, mop and shampoo carpets/floor cleaning.
- Provide necessary amenities to public spaces in accordance with the public space Standard Operating Procedure.
- Leave the public space ready for inspection.
- Report to Engineering any damage, hazards, repairs needed in the public space areas.
- Perform turndown service to each occupied room.
- Follow all Lost & Found Procedures
- Sign keys and radio in and out daily.
- Comply will all projects set forth by the housekeeping management team.
- Attend mandatory daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Other housekeeping duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of commercial, hotel, hospital, or nursing home cleaning.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to conduct detailed written or oral instructions.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests and team members.
- Must be able to recognize situations which may require a supervisor to step in.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The physical requirements described here are representative of the typical daily duties required to succeed in the Public Space Attendant Role.
- Employees must be able to push, pull, stand, stoop, bend, lift, carry, walk, and use tools properly.
- Must be able to lift or move at least fifty pounds.

- Required to use approved chemicals as outlined in the standard operating procedure.
- Required to use commercial vacuum cleaners.
