American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active VT or compact RN license.

Rural critical access hospital emergency department with 9 beds, seeing over 15,000 patients per year
-
Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 PM – 7 AM

Must be available to cover mid-shifts as needed

13-week contract

Uses Meditech EMR — familiarity with or ability to learn quickly is required

Active VT or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS

TNCC required; listed as preferred in the job description but required per certifications list

Minimum 3 years of emergency room RN experience required

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced rural ED environment, including evaluating outcomes, consulting with other specialties, and adjusting the nursing care process as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care

ED is currently undergoing expansion construction

Hospital is located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom — a rural area with no public transportation; the closest airport is approximately 2 hours away

Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
