Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive and depart, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain a waiting list, monitor guest flow, and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service.
- Uphold cleanliness standards at the host stand and ensure all guest areas are tidy and inviting.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, including patience, attentiveness, and professionalism.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
