We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Medical Technicians (Med Techs), Caregivers, and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide exceptional support and care to residents in various long-term care settings. The ideal candidates will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure residents' health status is maintained.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols under supervision or as authorized by healthcare professionals.
- Support residents with specialized care needs related to Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory impairments through personalized engagement and behavioral management strategies.
- Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident transportation to appointments or community outings when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces.
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning of residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training related to first aid, CPR, dementia care techniques, and other relevant certifications to uphold safety standards.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes demonstrating familiarity with geriatric and long-term care environments.
- Knowledge of assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities tailored to diverse resident needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining resident comfort and safety during transfers or repositioning.
- Familiarity with group home settings or home & community care environments enhances adaptability across different care contexts.
- Competence in manual handling techniques and safe patient lifting practices aligned with healthcare standards.
