Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and pipefitting will ensure high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects. Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and other welding processes on different materials following detailed construction plans and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute fabrication and installation tasks
- Weld pipes, pipelines, sprinkler systems, HVAC components, and structural elements in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes and NFPA standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding or assembly
- Conduct pipe bending, tube fabrication, pipe fitting, soldering, and pipe installation activities on construction sites or manufacturing facilities
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), power tool safety procedures, rigging practices, and adherence to OSHA regulations
- Assist with maintenance tasks such as equipment calibration, minor repairs, or troubleshooting welding-related issues on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and pipe welding in construction or manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, HVAC components, sprinkler systems, and plumbing installations
- Familiarity with pipe threading, tube bending, pipefitting, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication dimensions, and understanding ASME codes & standards
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to welding operations, construction site safety protocols, NFPA standards for fire protection systems
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with a focus on pipeline installation or maintenance projects
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics or construction plans effectively
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
