Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly merchandised.
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during busy periods or as assigned.
- Support overall store operations by participating in promotional activities and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are desirable.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math principles.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
