The Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Music Instructor with a strong Dalcroze foundation to join our vibrant, community-centered music school in MetroWest Boston. Our classrooms are welcoming spaces where young children explore rhythm, expression, and musicality through movement, imagination, and hands-on music-making. About the Role
Schedule: One weekday afternoon and Saturday mornings.
Ages: 3–6 years
You will:
- Teach engaging, developmentally informed early childhood music classes
- Incorporate Dalcroze principles to support musical understanding through movement
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of each class
- Collaborate with CCM’s early childhood faculty to shape curriculum and share best practices
- Communicate with parents to support learning, retention, and community engagement
Education
- BA in Music, Music Education, or an arts-related field with strong musical proficiency
- Dalcroze Certificate preferred
- Orff or Kodály training are also welcomed
Experience
- Minimum 3 years teaching young children (ages 3–6) in a classroom setting
- Strong intuition, enthusiasm, and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication with both children and parents
- Organized, collaborative, and committed to high-quality early childhood music education

Concord Conservatory of Music is a nonprofit music school
serving Concord, MA, and 16 surrounding communities. We are a creative and
supportive community of musicians of all ages and levels. Opportunities to perform, individually and in
groups, challenge students and build their sense of confidence and pride.
Community-based programming invites others to experience and appreciate not
just the music, but also the joy of creating it.
CCM offers a rigorous education for musicians at all
levels, for ages one and up. Over 500
students participate in weekly private and/or group lessons, ensembles, and
workshops. The school’s faculty includes 37 professional music educators
teaching 17 instruments and voice. CCM also presents approximately six concerts
a year for the public. To reach even
more community members, CCM provides student performances in the community,
programs for individuals with unique needs, including Singing with Parkinson’s
Chorus, and music classes specifically for children with developmental
disabilities. CCM also offers financial assistance and reduced or no-cost
programs, including group ukulele lessons at the Boys and Girls Club of Assabet
Valley.
