What You'll Do:
As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you'll work one-on-one with individuals recovering from acquired brain injuries, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:

Teaching daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, job readiness, and using public transportation.

Coaching clients in problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and emotional regulation.

Monitoring progress and documenting client achievements.
-
Supporting clients in meeting health, safety, and personal goals.
-
Connecting individuals with community resources that promote independence and success.
-
Encouraging confidence, self-advocacy, and personal growth every step of the way.
Every client has unique goals, and you'll play an important role in helping them reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
To be considered, applicants must have one of the following:

A high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least two (2) years of verifiable experience working with individuals with brain injuries, or;

A bachelor's degree plus at least one (1) year of verifiable brain injury-related experience.
Applicants must also have:
-
Reliable transportation.

A valid driver's license.
-
At least three (3) years of a safe driving record.

Proof of automobile insurance.
-
Flexibility to travel to client locations.
-
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Person-Centered certifications (or the ability to obtain them, if applicable).
