At Work In Progress LLC, we believe therapy shouldn't be reserved for crisis—and getting help shouldn't be complicated by shame, stigma, or unnecessary barriers.
Our mission is simple: Reducing shame. Breaking stigma. Increasing access. Changing lives.
We are looking for a therapist to join our Tuscaloosa team who believes in that mission and wants to do meaningful clinical work as part of an established, supportive group practice.
What We Offer
Meaningful Clinical Work
Work with a diverse client population and help people navigate challenges, recognize patterns, heal from difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.
Administrative Support
We handle many of the responsibilities that can pull therapists away from clinical work, including scheduling support, billing, insurance processes, and other administrative functions.
Established Referral Sources
Join an established practice with ongoing marketing, community relationships, and referral sources designed to help clinicians build and maintain their caseloads.
Professional Growth
We value clinicians who want to continue learning and developing professionally. Team members have opportunities for training, consultation, collaboration, and continued clinical growth.
A Team, Without Having to Build the Practice Yourself
You have the independence of contract work while being part of a team and having access to the systems, support, office space, and infrastructure of an established group practice.
A Mission Beyond the Therapy Room
Our commitment to mental health extends into the community through education, outreach, advocacy, and our nonprofit organization, More Work More Progress.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking an Alabama-licensed or associate-level mental health professional (LPC, LICSW, LMFT, ALC, LMSW, or LMFT-A) who:
- Provides compassionate, ethical, high-quality clinical care
- Is dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule and caseload
- Completes documentation accurately and on time
- Communicates professionally with clients and team members
- Is comfortable working independently while still being part of a team
- Values continued learning and professional growth
- Shares our commitment to reducing stigma and increasing access to mental health care
Availability for evening and/or after-school appointments is especially desirable for our Tuscaloosa office.
If you're looking for a place where you can focus on being a therapist while having the support of an established practice behind you, we'd love to hear from you.
