American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Oklahoma, requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications and a valid OK or Compact RN license.

General Emergency Department setting serving a combined adult and pediatric population

STEMI Certified and Stroke Certified facility

Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15, with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week (3x12 or 4x12)

Patient ratio of 1:4

Every other weekend coverage required

Floating to like units within scope is expected based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Epic EMR is required for charting
-
Valid OK or Compact RN license, currently in hand

Required certifications, all in hand: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS

NRP certification preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience preferred; less may be considered

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred

Clinical skills including triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, ABG interpretation, procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, IV paralytics and sedation, and emergency medication administration

Experience with psychiatric, neurological, trauma, orthopedic, and respiratory emergency presentations

Navy scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
