Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of public spaces, including floors, lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and communal areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemical products safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel or facility protocols.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning equipment or supplies to ensure efficient maintenance of the area.
- Maintain sanitation standards through vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and ensuring all surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
- Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment effectively while adhering to safety procedures for chemical handling and equipment operation.
- Respond promptly to any cleanliness or safety issues reported by staff or visitors, following hotel emergency procedures when necessary.
- Support overall housekeeping management by assisting with special cleaning projects or deep cleans during off-peak hours to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in floor care, hotel housekeeping management, or industrial cleaning environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, chemical agent handling, and safety data sheets (SDS) is essential for safe operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and staff alike.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners.
- Experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is a plus; however, motivated individuals eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
