JOB SUMMARY:
This entry-level role is responsible for counting product inventory daily using scanners that read product bar codes and automatically transfer that information to a computerized inventory control system. In this role you will work independently depending on the schedule and resource availability.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for every aspect of inventory control including keeping daily detailed records of any changes in inventory.
- Performs daily inventory counts via handheld device to ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
- Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
- Checks date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitates removal or transfer of product as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring the company’s inventory remains sufficient.
- Maintain inventory records accurate of any changes in inventory.
- Assist in the organization and planning of the warehouse, moving, cleaning, and retagging of items up to FDA and AIB standards.
- Audit of daily inventory count.
- Produce daily out of stock report.
- Identify low inventory product on core flavors.
- Restock picking area.
- Unload product as needed.
- Help to keep warehouse organized, clean and up to the FDA and AIB standards.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance. Overtime may be required on an occasional basis.
- Complete special projects which may include reorganization of a specific area or creation of a new process or procedure as guided by the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist Warehouse personnel with their tasks when inventory tasks are completed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
PCVA IS LOOKING FOR:
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and techniques
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to operate a computer as its use pertains to an automated inventory system.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Positive, Constructive Attitude.
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proven track record of strong consistent attendance.
- Easily able to work in all types of weather conditions and must be able to occasionally work in a loud environment.
- Once training with equipment, safely and regularly lift/carry or push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to be on your feet all day and wear safety shoes and other PPE.
