SPD Equipment Technician Evenings

The SPD Equipment Technician Evenings will:
- Make rounds to designated areas to collect items.

Decontaminate reusable instruments, equipment and supplies including but not limited to IV pumps, PCAs, CPM machines, Pneumatic pumps, hypo/hyperthermia units.

Prepare patient equipment for use.

Restock procedure carts.

Fill requests for medical/surgical supplies, procedure trays and patient equipment.

Document and maintain inventory of supplies.
Requirements:
- One year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification preferred.
- Knowledge of Central Sterile Department patient care supplies and equipment.
- Work requires the ability to be compliant with Infection Prevention, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
- Work requires the ability to be compliant in wearing personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, and latex/non A latex gloves) as needed.
- Work requires the ability to read, write and effectively communicate.
- Work requires the ability to be work effectively within role independently and with other team members.
- Work requires the ability to be organized and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Work requires the ability to maintain accurate records and be detail oriented.

Work requires the ability to understand basic medical/surgical terminology.
- Work requires the ability to be compliant with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
- Work requires standing and walking for prolonged period (90% of work time) as well as occasional lifting of equipment, supplies, etc., and pushing of autoclave cart and surgical case and Exchange carts. Ability to lift 25 pounds required.
Salary Range: 17.30 - 23.36 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
