WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of enterprise business solutions. This role reports to the Business Systems Manager and is responsible for delivering scalable digital solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing business systems, including MES, ERP, production network systems, and custom applications.
The ideal candidate will lead technical architecture and decision-making for complex projects, manage project timelines and deliverables, and serve as a key point of communication for stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include driving system enhancements, troubleshooting business-critical issues, overseeing testing and deployment activities, and ensuring adherence to coding, security, and performance best practices.
This position also provides technical leadership through code reviews, mentorship of junior engineers, documentation of solutions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors to continuously improve and support enterprise IT systems.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- H.S. Diploma required, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience with hands-on software and web development and database development
- 5+ years of experience with various manufacturing applications MES/ERP/SCADA
- 2+ years of technical project leadership
- Expertise of Python as well as one or more other core languages (C++, Java, .NET, etc.) with proficiency with additional languages or frameworks as needed
- Deep experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgresSQL)
- Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems and integrating shop-floor systems (MES/SCADA) with ERP Systems (QAD, SAP)

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $103,000 to $159,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
