We are seeking a dependable lead maintenance technician to direct a small team of technicians at a large, thriving multi-family building complex.
In this position, you will serve as the bridge between property management and the maintenance team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee daily physical upkeep, ensure unit turns and repairs are completed promptly, and keep technicians motivated and accountable. If you bring strong technical repair skills, proven supervisory capability, and an easygoing disposition, this role offers a pleasant work atmosphere with real room to grow within the company.
Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities
● Team Leadership: Serve as the Maintenance Supervisor leading a small team of technicians, assigning daily task priorities, and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
● Management Liaison: Maintain clear communication between property management and on-site staff, providing progress updates on property projects.
● Hands-On Repairs: Perform general property maintenance, including drywall patching, painting, light plumbing, light electrical repairs, and routine upkeep.
● Unit Upgrades & Turns: Lead kitchen and bathroom upgrades and oversee apartment turns to ensure incoming residents receive top-quality units.
● Quality & Accountability: Keep team members motivated, accountable, and focused on maintaining high standards of work throughout the property.
● Resident Relations: Interact with residents using a friendly, easygoing disposition to address service requests and preserve a positive community atmosphere.
Maintenance Supervisor Requirements
● Leadership Experience: 2 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or lead maintenance technician role is preferred.
● Maintenance Background: 5 years of hands-on property maintenance experience is preferred.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
● Core Skills: Proficiency in painting, drywall repair, basic electrical work, residential plumbing, and general facility care.
● Personal Qualities: Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and an easygoing personality to get along with residents, technicians, and management.
