Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to join our team. This role involves providing behavioral therapy and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, in a clinical or home-based setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Collect, analyze, and document data related to client progress and treatment efficacy, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals, medical staff, and families, to coordinate care plans.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs, focusing on skill development and behavior reduction.
- Train caregivers and staff on ABA techniques, data collection methods, and behavior management strategies.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all medical terminology standards and privacy regulations.
Experience
- Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Experience with data collection, patient assessment, and behavioral health diagnostics.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and electronic medical records systems.
- Prior work involving intake procedures, patient care, and behavioral health evaluations is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical records and patient privacy is essential.
